The Chicago White Sox are going to need a ton of help to avoid not only being at the bottom of the American League Central Division next season, but also avoid being the worst team in the entire American League again. Three straight 100-loss campaigns is abysmal, and something the White Sox can’t be content with.
To start to correct this, the White Sox will need help everywhere. Chicago needs to look to make a major splash to bring some hope back to the fan base, and one move they can look to make is trading for Jake Cronenworth.

San Diego Padres Trade Jake Cronenworth to the Chicago White Sox
The San Diego Padres want to make a massive move when it comes to adding to their pitching, but for them to accomplish this, they are going to have to create a bit more space financially to make as big of a move as they want to.
With Jake Cronenworth, he is coming off a season in which he produced a .246/.367/.377 slash line with 11 home runs and 59 RBIs. While the Padres would typically like to keep Cronenworth, moving on from him presents the easiest way for the Padres to create the financial space they need.
Jake Cronenworth is on a cost-controlled seven-year, $80 million deal that he signed back in the 2023 offseason, which paired with his production, makes him a valuable trade target.
For the White Sox, a trade for Jake Cronenworth is exactly the move they need to make. Not only would he provide a much-needed offensive spark to the team, but he would also bring the long-term stability, and six years of experience to help in mentoring some of the younger players. Cronenworth is the exact talent that Chicago needs to start turning things around for the future.
