The Seattle Mariners will enter 2026 with more expectations than arguably any other year in franchise history.

This past season, the Mariners were one game away from the World Series for the first time since they were established as a major league club in 1977.

In the month-and-a-half since Seattle fell to the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series, the M’s have brought back first baseman Josh Naylor on a five-year, $92.5 million contract, have acquired high-leverage left-handed reliever Jose Ferrer in a trade with the Washington Nationals and are reportedly in the running for several more notable free agents.

It’s already been a successful offseason for the Mariners and fans who want to see the beginning stages of what can end up being a historic season will be now be able to purchase spring training tickets for 2026.

Seattle has the sixth-best World Series odds for 2026, according to BetMGM (+1,400). Those odds rank third in the American League behind the New York Yankees (+750) and defending AL pennant winners, the Blue Jays (+1,300).

Beyond the Mariners’ World Series odds, the M’s’ 2026 spring training will be interesting due to the World Baseball Classic.

Seattle will likely be one of the most well-represented MLB teams in the 2026 WBC. Notable players like Julio Rodriguez, Cal Raleigh, Andres Munoz, Randy Arozarena, Eduard Bazardo and Matt Brash are just several of the many players expected to compete in the international tournament. Top 100 prospect Michael Arroyo is expected to be on the Colombia roster.

Due to the amount of players expected to compete in the WBC, several Mariners players from the back-end of the bench to non-roster invitees will receive more playing time in Cactus League action.

Players competing in the minor league camp could and probably will be moved to the major league camp to fill out the Cactus League roster with the WBC departures.

Among the top prospects fans will be able to see in Cactus League play will include infielder Colt Emerson, outfielder Lazaro Montes, left-handed starting pitcher Kade Anderson, switch-pitching starter Jurragnelo Cijntje, right-handed starting pitcher Ryan Sloan and catcher Luke Stevenson.

Several of those aforementioned prospects, including Montes and Emerson, are projected to make their major league debuts in 2026.
