(WBFF) — The Baltimore Orioles will pick 7th in the 2026 MLB Draft, thanks to a little bad luck in the MLB Draft Lottery.
The Orioles entered the event with the 4th-best odds (9.24%) of landing the top pick, thanks to owning the 7th-worst record in baseball in 2025, as well as three teams that finished with worse records – the Rockies, Angels, and Nationals – being ineligible for lottery picks.

Lottery results will not affect picks after the first round, with the rest of the selections being in reverse order of win percentage.
The Orioles were represented at the Draft Lottery by Mike Devereaux, who played for the team from 1989-1994 and 1996. He was inducted into the Orioles Hall of Fame in 2021.
The Chicago White Sox, who entered with the best odds, landed the first overall pick after having the second-worst record in the league last season.
