The Toronto Blue Jays have been described as the favorites to land Kyle Tucker this offseason, and the superstar slugger has reportedly visited the team’s facility in Florida.
Tucker is the best free agent on this year’s market, and the Blue Jays have shown their willingness to be aggressive this offseason. Coming off a loss in the World Series, the Blue Jays seem motivated to add to their team and make another run. However, regardless of who they add, they will be led by Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who signed a long-term extension this year.
Guerrero is doing his part in trying to get Tucker on the Blue Jays. Tucker posted a video of himself working out on Wednesday. Guerreo commented under the post. He didn’t use words, but rather an emoji of two eyes looking to the side, often used to mean that one is watching or finds something interesting.

Guerreo is one of the best players in baseball, and adding Tucker to the lineup with him would be great for the Blue Jays. Tucker is a four-time All-Star and has 134 home runs since 2021. He had a down year this season, but his home and away splits show that he was a phenomenal hitter away from Wrigley Field.
He hit 15 of his 22 home runs on the road and had a .923 OPS on the road. His OPS at home was .747. Perhaps all he needs to start putting up superstar numbers is to not play half of his games at Wrigley Field. Tucker has the potential to be a 30-homer bat in the Blue Jays lineup for years to come.
