Milner appeared in 73 games with the Texas Rangers last season, posting a 3-4 record and a 3.84 ERA. He had 58 strikeouts in 70.1 innings, but did register a -0.6 WAR, his second consecutive season with a negative Wins Above Replacement.
Notably, Milner had a strong 2023 season with the Milwaukee Brewers, Craig Counsell’s final season as manager. He had a 1.82 ERA in 73 appearances, allowing just 13 walks in 64.1 innings.
Milner is the second pitcher to be added to the team’s roster this offseason, joining reliever Phil Maton, who had a 2.79 ERA for the Rangers last season.
