The Texas Rangers officially announced the signings of catcher Danny Jansen and pitcher Tyler Alexander yesterday. Jansen has a two year deal with a mutual option for 2028, while Alexander has a one year deal.
Reports Alexander, a lefthanded reliever, also came out Friday night. Alexander is reportedly getting $1.125 million guaranteed, with another $1.125 million in potential bonuses. The 31 year old Alexander has a career 4.63 ERA in 546 innings, with 57 starts and 138 relief appearances.
The Rangers now have 37 players on their 40 man roster, though that does not include Alexis Diaz, the reliever who reports say has also reached an agreement with Texas.
