It’s been the talk of Johnson County in recent weeks: Will the Royals end up picking Overland Park as the site for their new stadium?

The Aspiria campus at 119th and Nall, former home of the one-time Spint World Headquarters, has been identified as one of three sites around the metro the team is considering to make its new home after its lease at the Truman Sports Complex in Jackson County runs out.

It would be an unprecedented project for Johnson County, and a professional sports stadium would likely raise the profile of Overland Park, already one of the metro’s biggest suburbs, to new heights in terms of both prestige and economic activity.

But the prospect has also raised the ire of many neighboring residents and garnered opposition from some, most notably the Leawood mayor and city council, who say a stadium would create traffic headaches, threaten public safety and disrupt the suburban calm of the area.

The Post knows this isn’t scientific, but we want to hear at a gut level what our readers and the Johnson County community are thinking about this much-discussed issue.
