How should Detroit Tigers upgrade bullpen in 2025-26 offseason? Reliever expert explains

Reliever expert Greg Jewett explains on “Days of Roar” how the Detroit Tigers should upgrade their bullpen with multiple weapons for the 2026 season.

Detroit Tigers pitcher Reese Olson has joined first baseman Spencer Torkelson in the offseason marriage club.

As announced on social media on Wednesday, Dec. 17, Olson and his bride, Autumn Tucker Olson, are now married. Based on their wedding website, the ceremony occurred Dec. 6 in Gainesville, Georgia, where Olson was born and raised.

Olson, 26, is entering his fourth MLB season after making his debut with the Tigers on June 2, 2023. He pitched to a career-best 3.15 ERA over 68â…” innings in 2025, but suffered a season-ending shoulder strain following a start against the Toronto Blue Jays on July 24.

Olson was considered for a postseason return had the Tigers made it to the 2025 World Series and should be back healthy to start the 2026 season. He is tabbed to play a role in the middle of a starting rotation that looks to be a strength heading into 2026.

The Tigers shared the news of Torkelson’s marriage on Nov. 11, with the former No. 1 overall pick marrying his bride Makenna. And though Olson’s photos didn’t feature a French bulldog like Torkelson’s, they still showed plenty of wedding day spirit (especially in the third photo in the gallery below).
