Jeff Kent is headed to Cooperstown, and Barry Bonds isn’t.

Joe Buck is headed to Cooperstown, and Duane Kuiper isn’t.

No matter who is voted in and who is kept out, the Baseball Hall of Fame can’t seem to avoid controversy. In this episode of Section 415, The Standard’s John Shea shares his perspective of the surprising vote to enshrine Kent, the continued efforts to deny Bonds a spot, and why Ford C. Frick Award voters may have made a mistake in choosing Buck ahead of a long list of worthy broadcasters working at the local level.

Shea also explains how Buster Posey, Bruce Bochy, and Dusty Baker could all enter the Hall of Fame together, and how former Giants general manager Brian Sabean will also be in consideration for a spot in Cooperstown in the near future.
