It’s been more than 10 years since Rob Refsnyder made his Major League debut, with the New York Yankees. That was the first of six different teams he’s played for, and a seventh is on tap for 2026.

The former Arizona Wildcats outfielder has signed a 1-year deal with the Seattle Mariners, going from one coast to another after spending the previous four seasons with the Boston Red Sox.

Reysnyder, who will turn 35 on Opening Day in March, is a career .255 hitter in 541 games with 33 home runs and 154 RBI. Last season he hit .269 with an .838 OPS in 70 games for Boston, serving mostly as a platoon outfielder against left-handed pitchers.

With Seattle he’ll be joining a franchise that’s coming off a trip to the American League Championship Series and which features reigning home run champ Cal Raleigh.

Refsnyder played for the UA from 2010-12, hitting .364 as a junior in leading the Wildcats to the 2012 College World Series title. He was drafted by the Yankees in the 5th round.
