Pete Fairbanks is switching coasts in the Sunshine State.
Fairbanks, 32, has spent almost his entire major-league career with the Tampa Bay Rays. He was 4-5 with a 2.83 ERA with 59 strikeouts, 27 saves and 18 walks in 60.1 innings last year.
After making his MLB debut with the Texas Rangers in 2019, the Rays acquired Fairbanks in a trade later that year.
The Rays declined his $11-million option for 2026 earlier this off-season, paying Fairbanks a $1-million buyout.
The Milwaukee native has the third-most saves in Rays history (90), and has pitched the fourth-most games (267).
