The Seattle Mariners kicked off the offseason with a big move by signing first baseman Josh Naylor to a five-year, $92.5 millio contract.

Since then, Seattle has made several more moves and has continued to be linked to several players in both free agency and trade discussions.

After bringing back Naylor long-term, the Mariners have signed backup catcher Andrew Knizner and first baseman Rob Refsnyder to one-year deals, respectively, and acquired left-handed high-leverage reliever Jose Ferrer in a trade with the Washington Nationals.

As of Dec. 24, the Mariners’ 40-man roster is currently at the maximum 40 players allowed.

Seattle currently has 23 pitchers on the roster: 16 relievers and seven starters. Four of the team’s bullpen arms are left-handed and all of the club’s starters are right-handed.

The Mariners have two catchers, eight players designated as infielders and seven players designated as outfielders. All five of Seattle’s 2025 All-Stars are on the 40-man roster. The infield was the only position group where the club didn’t have an All-Star this past season.

Among Seattle’s hitters, four players have experience and are capable of playing both the infield and outfield: Mastrobuoni, Taylor, Refsnyder and Raley. All four players had varying times in the major leagues last season. Refsnyder was the only one who wasn’t with the Mariners in ’25.

Among the Mariners’ current roster, nine players have made All-Star games within the last three seasons: Castillo, Kirby, Gilbert, Woo, Munoz, Naylor, Raleigh, Arozarena and Rodriguez.
