NYPD officials have issued an alert about an assault which occurred on the Upper West Side this past weekend. Police are hoping someone from the public will be able to assist them in identifying and locating the wanted individual.

According to the report, an unknown male suspect approached a 24-year-old man in the vicinity of 107th and West End Avenue on Sunday at about 10:35 p.m.

“The [suspect] struck the victim in the face with a baseball bat multiple times and fled on foot westbound towards Riverside Park,” the report states.

It is unclear what prompted the attack.

The victim sustained injuries to the face and was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition.

The suspect has been described “as a male with a light complexion, approximately 5 feet and 8 inches tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing all black clothing and was carrying a black baseball bat.”
