TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Baseball fans eagerly await the 2026 Taiwan-Japan baseball exchange series, set to take place at Taipei Dome (台北大巨蛋) from Feb. 25-28. Bros Sports Marketing Co. (挺悍賽事行銷) said that the series will feature the Chinese Taipei national team, Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks (福岡軟銀鷹), Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters (北海道日本火腿), Chinatrust Brothers (中信兄弟), and Wei Chuan Dragons (味全龍).

The Chinese Taipei team will face the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks on Feb. 26 and the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters on Feb. 27. These matches serve as crucial warm-ups for the national team as they prepare for the World Baseball Classic. Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks will also compete against Chinatrust Brothers on Feb. 25, while Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters will play Wei Chuan Dragons on Feb. 28.

A press conference on Dec. 16 will reveal ticket prices and cheerleading squad details, offering fans a chance to support their teams in person. This exchange series is not only a training opportunity for players but also a highly anticipated event for baseball enthusiasts. Additionally, during this offseason, the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks signed pitcher Hsu Jo-hsi (徐若熙) from Wei Chuan Dragons, whose debut is expected to draw significant attention and be considered one of the highlights of the exhibition series.

Team Taiwan has been placed in Group C for next year’s World Baseball Classic, where they will face Australia, Japan, the Czech Republic, and South Korea. , Taiwan will be playing as away game, sinec Japan is the host nation for Group C games. The 2026 Taiwan–Japan baseball exchange series is regarded as Team Taiwan’s final public appearance at home before heading into WBC preparations.
