As the Los Angeles Dodgers’ front office goes through the motions of the MLB offseason, the idea of them adding more talent to the mix has been mentioned. Los Angeles is coming off winning its second straight World Series title, and the organization is now gearing up to go after a three-peat next year.
*PREDICTION*
This won’t be easy, especially considering that every other team in baseball will be trying to knock them off going forward. But the players on the Dodgers have also been playing deep into the seasons, and they could be tired from the long playoff runs.
Due to this, we could see Los Angeles look to bring some new energy into the mix, if only to give this team some boost and extra motivation. The Dodgers have already addressed the ongoing bullpen problems this offseason, and now the front office is likely to turn to the offense.
While Los Angeles doesn’t need another bat, per se, they could always add more talent for depth purposes. The Dodgers are on the older side of things, and having more guys who can perform throughout the year can be important.

Nolan Arenado Finally Heads to Los Angeles Dodgers
One way for the Dodgers to bring in another bat this offseason could be the trade route, especially if the team doesn’t want to shell out a ton more money in free agency. Veteran third baseman Nolan Arenado could be an interesting name for the Dodgers to consider, and he has been linked to them multiple times over the years.
Since Arenado’s contract is much shorter now, the Dodgers may be more willing to take it on to help the team for next season. Arenado isn’t the same player that he was even a few years ago, so Los Angeles has been hesitant to bring him into the mix.
The veteran now only has two years left on his deal, which makes the deal much easier to swallow, especially for a team like the Dodgers. Arenado is scheduled to make $16 million for the upcoming season and then $15 million for the 2027 season.
Arenado may not be the same player that he once was, but if Los Angeles were to acquire him, they would be banking on him returning to form. This past season with the Cardinals, Arenado hit .237 with 12 home runs and 52 runs batted in, appearing in 107 games.
The veteran has wanted to come to the Dodgers for many years now, and this could see him be extremely motivated, helping this squad go after a three-peat. Arenado could be a strong addition to the roster, and he could take turns playing third base with Max Muncy, with each getting rest throughout the season.
