Jim Henneman, a Baltimore sportswriter and the official scorer for the Orioles, has died. According to the Orioles, Henneman died Thursday night at the age of 89.In January 2024, the Orioles renamed the press box at Camden Yards in Henneman’s honor.The Orioles released a statement, saying, in part: “Henny’s friendly demeanor, words of wisdom and historical anecdotes will be dearly missed. We are all better for knowing him and are eternally grateful for his dedication to the Orioles for more than eight decades.”
