This year marks my first full year as a photojournalist at The Cincinnati Enquirer.

From children getting the chance to meet those who serve and protect our country, to the Cincinnati Reds facing off against the Los Angeles Dodgers during the playoffs and students walking across the big stage ready to start a new chapter of life, it’s an honor getting to document each moment.

I never would’ve thought that there could be so much color and life in one place. This city is special to me. I’ve been through many stages of life here. I grew up here. It’s been an eye-opening experience capturing every one of these stories in a place I hold near and dear to my heart.

This year has been a very challenging year for all of us. We have all experienced a tremendous amount of loss and gain, but I never take documenting those moments for granted. My only hope is to continue capturing those moments and be a fresh set of eyes every step of the way.

Thank you to Cincinnati and readers of The Enquirer for being so open and sharing so many important stories with us.
