The Chicago Cubs will host their annual convention from Friday, Jan. 16, to Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in downtown Chicago. Weekend passes went on sale back in October, according toBleed Cubbie Blue. This year’s event holds special meaning as it marks two major milestones in franchise history.
The convention will celebrate 150 years since the team joined the National League in 1876. Fans will also commemorate the tenth anniversary of the 2016 World Series championship team. Reports from Bleed Cubbie Blue suggest that recently retired Anthony Rizzo, now serving as a team ambassador, is expected to attend along with other 2016 heroes like Jon Lester and Kyle Hendricks, who may retire this offseason.
Ticket pricing and special discounts
Weekend passes cost $125 for adults, while children aged 3 to 10 can attend for $100, as reported byMSN. Kids under two years old enter free of charge. Season ticket holders receive discounted rates of $100 for adults and $80 for children. Each household can purchase up to eight passes. MSN notes that Jen Martindale, the Cubs’ Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications, described the convention as a time-honored tradition marking the unofficial season start. Families who bought passes before November 13 will have access to register their children for a special youth baseball and softball clinic happening on convention Sunday.

What fans can expect
According to Marquee Sports Network, the convention features numerous activities, including autograph sessions and player meet-and-greets. Panel conversations with current and former players will take place throughout the weekend. Season ticket holders enjoy exclusive experiences during the three-day event. Hotel packages are currently available for purchase. Marquee Sports Network reports that the 2025 convention attracted franchise legends like Sammy Sosa and Ryne Sandberg. Part of all ticket proceeds supports Cubs Charities, which helps Chicago youth and families.
