RALEIGH, N.C.- NC State Baseball will begin the 2026 season in Puerto Rico when they are set to take part in the Puerto Rico Baseball Challenge from February 13-16.
 
The Puerto Rico Challenge is an invitational college baseball event taking place at Estadio Francisco Montaner in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and at Estadio Yldefonso Solá Morales in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
 
The Wolfpack will be one of three ACC teams participating, joining Wake Forest and Boston College. Eight teams will make the trip; the five other teams include Houston, Seton Hall, Washington, Indiana State, and Manhattan.
 
This will be the second straight season the Wolfpack will play in an early-season invitational; last year, NC State played in the Jax College Baseball Classic.

Game times, opponents, ticket information and streaming details will all be released at a later date. 

 

NC State is coming off a 2025 season with a 35-21 record, finishing fourth in the ACC and a two seed in the NCAA tournament.
