The Los Angeles Dodgers are 47 days away from their first spring training matchup.

The Dodgers are set to begin Cactus League play on Feb. 21 against the Los Angeles Angels at Tempe Diablo Stadium. It’s been just 64 days since the Dodgers were crowned World Series champions, but spring camp is just around the corner.

Perhaps the quick turnaround is the price the Dodgers pay for being the defending champs.

While the MLB regular season is always interesting to watch, the spring is a time of hope and excitement as players arrive at Camelback Ranch. Fans get a chance to watch their favorite players as well as welcome new ones to the Dodgers’ facility in Glendale, Ariz.

The beauty of spring training is how relaxed the environment is. Fans are able to greet players at arm’s length, watch live baseball again, and get excited for the upcoming season.

The 2026 spring camp for the Dodgers will look somewhat different with the World Baseball Classic beginning in March. Players that are participating in the WBC will likely miss a majority of spring training because of the tournament.

As is the standard operating procedure in MLB, pitchers and catchers will report first with position players arriving the week after. There isn’t a confirmed date on when Dodgers pitchers and catchers will report, but it’s expected to be around Feb. 8.

In their quest for the three-peat in 2026, the Dodgers should have an exciting spring with new additions and fan favorites returning for what the team hopes to be another championship run.

LA has made just two major league signings thus far this offseason, with Edwin Diaz’s three-year, $69 million deal setting a record among relievers. The Dodgers also brought back Miguel Rojas on a one-year, $5.5 million deal.

While the front office has been quiet since landing Diaz, the Dodgers are expected to make at least one more move before spring training rolls around.
