As mentioned yesterday, the Braves, like many teams, continue to be involved in talks regarding the addition of starting pitching. While Ken Rosenthal suggested the Braves are more likely to sign an arm than trade for one. Atlanta is one of several teams that have checked on starter Freddy Peralta of the Brewers.

The idea of trading for Peralta would be a bit less likely that going after free agent pitcher for a few reasons. For one, he only has one year of control remaining, so the Braves would likely prefer to talk extension if they were to trade for him. Secondly, the Brewers would likely want young pitching in return, which the Braves have been a bit reluctant to part ways with. Acquiring Peralta would certainly be an a significant addition to the rotation, but it seems unlikely at the moment for the Braves.
