Fantasy Impact:

Shugart has seen action at the Major League level in each of the last two seasons and pitched to a 3.40 ERA in 45 innings for the Pirates last year. He pitched six games for Boston in 2024. Shugart has a below average strikeout rate of just 18%, but he has limited opponents to just a .212 average in 53.2 career innings. The righthander could generate some interest on the waiver wire for teams looking for bullpen help.
