Fantasy Impact:
Volpe, the former 30th overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, has played three seasons with the Yankees. The shortstop is a career .222 hitter in 1,886 plate appearances, but does have 52 home runs and 70 stolen bases. He also made a league-high 19 errors at shortstop in 2025. Volpe, still only 24, has shown flashes of what made him a top-10 MLB prospect, but he just hasn’t put it together on a consistent basis. Volpe is recovering from shoulder surgery and won’t be ready for Opening Day.
