After the Minnesota Twins fell apart to the tune of a 70-92 record last season, Derek Falvey made Rocco Baldelli his latest fall guy. The year prior it was hitting coaches David Popkins and Derek Shomon. Thad Levine found himself being pushed out in favor of Jeremy Zoll as well.
Thad Levine’s name has popped up here and there in recent cycles, but he has made a greater presence in the podcasting world. His Rosters to Rings show has been insightful, but he’s ready to turn his focus back to front office work.

Thad Levine hired by Milwaukee Brewers
When the Minnesota Twins turned over their front office from the old Terry Ryan regime, they went progressive. Derek Falvey and Thad Levine came in to right the ship. After the 2024 season Levine departed the organization, but he’s now back in the big leagues with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Matt Arnold is the Brewers President of Baseball Operations and general manager. He works in conjunction with fellow President of Baseball Operations Rick Schlesinger. Levine likely will would closely with the two of them.
The former Minnesota Twins general manager started his front office career with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1998. He was with the Colorado Rockies from 1999-2005, and worked for the Texas Rangers from 2006 until he joined the Twins.

The 54-year-old Levine has always been an extremely eloquent speaker, and he has been around high-performing organizations. He’s an amicable individual and his even-keeled demeanor should serve him well in a return to the front office.
In 2025 the Milwaukee Brewers won the NL Central with a 97-65 record. Manager Pat Murphy has been incredible in replacing Craig Counsell, and the organization has found a consistent formula for winning.
Levine’s new organization will play the MN Twins May 15-17, and host them August 7-9.
