(Minneapolis, MN)–The Minnesota Twins are making a splash in the international free agent market. The Twins signed Venezuelan shortstop Enmanuel Merlo to a $1.5 million signing bonus on Thursday. Merlo is ranked as the number-34 prospect of the 2026 international class. Minnesota also signed Nicaraguan shortstop Juan Diego Holmann.
