Texas A&M’s 2026 baseball season is less than a month away, and for second-year head coach Michael Earley, expectations are muddled due to last season’s poor finish to the year, finishing second-to-last in SEC play, while the Aggies’ series home loss to last-place Missouri was the final straw for some Aggie fans who fealt AD Trev Alberts should have moved on from Earley after one season.

While Earley has plenty to prove, Texas A&M‘s roster includes Maryland transfer SS Chris Hacopian, who is widely considered one of the top MLB Draft prospects, while the return of star hitter Gavin Grahovac and Caden Sorrell fills out a starting lineup that should result in vast improvement on offense.

The pitching rotation is another story, needing to replace veterans Ryan Prager and Justin Lamkin, with Weston Moss and Shane Sdao looking like the top two options right now. Still, after enduring one of the program’s worst seasons in over a decade, this team is ready to prove that last season was simply a fluke.

Coming at No. 25 in D1Baseball’s preseason rankings, Texas A&M will face eight teams ranking in the Top 25, including No. 1 UCLA, during the early season Amegy Bank College Baseball Series on February 28, but will avoid series against No. 7 Arkansas, No. 14 Tennessee, and No. 18 Kentucky, three teams the Aggies played last season.

In the SEC, here are the seven teams the Aggies will face in three game series once conference play begins.
