Right-handed reliever Seranthony Domínguez and the Chicago White Sox are in agreement on a two-year, $20 million contract, sources tell ESPN. Dominguez, 31, is expected to close for the White Sox, who use the money saved in the Luis Robert Jr. deal to continue adding this winter.

Fantasy Impact:
Dominguez has pitched parts of seven seasons at the big league level, primarily with the Phillies. Dominguez has swing-and-miss stuff as evidenced by his career 27.9% strikeout rate. However, he is prone to command issues at times, having pitched to a 10.5% walk rate. He also uncorked a major league-high 12 wild pitches last season. Dominguez has closing experience with 40 career saves, including a career-high 16 in his rookie season with the Phillies in 2018. All told, the veteran righthander has a 3.50 ERA in 306 career innings and has limited opponents to a .208 batting average. The White Sox have improved their roster this offseason so, if he keeps a hold of the closer’s role, Dominguez could easily record 25-30 saves in 2026.
