In this post-Freddy Peralta era for the Milwaukee Brewers, they might be shifting their interest elsewhere.

The Brewers are, of course, looking to return to the National League Championship Series. In order to do this, though, they might want to add a couple of new pieces. Could they have a wish list made up?

If they don’t, then Zachary D. Rymer of Bleacher Report has helped the club out a little bit. Rymer put together a wish list for all MLB clubs, and noted that this wish list is something teams could use before spring training.

For the Brewers, Rymer suggested that the Brewers look for a power bat and an dice-roll reliever.

“The Brewers began their offseason with concerns about their payroll, and the trade of Freddy Peralta to the Mets eased those a bit,” Rymer wrote. “That might be their cue to add some power, with Eugenio Suárez looming as a dream addition on paper.

“Milwaukee always finds ways to prevent runs, but the bullpen is looking a bit thin,” Rymer continued. “There are guys out there who might benefit from their magic touch, including Michael Kopech and Paul Sewald.”

Suárez started his major-league career with the Detroit Tigers, then went to the Cincinnati Reds for seven seasons. Suárez joined the Seattle Mariners in 2022 for two seasons. He played all 162 games in the 2023 season for Seattle, then he headed over to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Mariners got Suárez back in 2025 as they were making a push to win the American League West Division title, which Seattle accomplished.

Suárez has 325 career MLB home runs and a .246 career batting average.

While Suárez might not hit for average, his power numbers definitely give a team a big edge. Imagine seeing him stepping up to the plate at American Family Field and hitting a few dingers this season.

There’s still time for the Brewers to pick him up. Maybe the ballclub can work out a deal to keep him around for a season or two.

Kopech made his MLB debut in 2018 with the Chicago White Sox, where he appeared in four games. He missed the entire 2019 season due to injury, and opted out of the 2020 MLB season due to COVID-19 pandemic.

He pitched three-plus more seasons with the White Sox before joining the Los Angeles Dodgers. Kopech appeared in the 2024 World Series for the Dodgers, but only appeared in 14 games last season for Los Angeles.

Maybe getting either one of these players, or both of them, would be a nice gift before the Brewers head out to start spring training and Cactus League play.
