MILWAUKEE (WSAW) – The New York Mets have acquired All-Star pitcher Freddy Peralta and Tobias Myers in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Top prospects Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat will head to Milwaukee as part of the deal.

Peralta had arguably his best season with the Brewers in 2025. He finished with a 17-6 record, 2.70 ERA and gave up just over one walk/hit per inning pitched (WHIP).
Peralta has been with the Brewers since the 2018 season.
Williams, 22, is a shortstop, 2nd baseman and outfielder. He played for the Mets’ Triple-A team in Syracuse in 2025. He posted a .261 batting average with 127 hits in 130 games.
Sproat, 25, is a right-handed pitcher who made his MLB debut with the Mets in 2025. He went 0-2 with a 4.79 ERA in four starts with the team.
