The deal comes with an invite to spring training.

Sandlin, 29, was acquired by the Blue Jays ahead of the 2025 season from the Cleveland Guardians in a deal that also saw Andres Gimenez come to Toronto.

He made 19 appearances for the team last season, posting an 0-2 record with a 2.20 earned run average and WHIP of 1.163 over 16.1 innings pitched. He struck out 16 batters and walked eight.

Sandlin was placed on the injured list on July 8 with right elbow inflammation and did not pitch again in 2025. He was transferred to the 60-day list on Sept. 1. On Nov. 1, he was removed from the 40-man roster and outrighted to the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons. Sandlin then elected free agency.

A native of Evans, GA, Sandlin is 19-10 with a 3.19 ERA and 1.148 WHIP over 211.2 IP in 228 career games with the Blue Jays and Guardians.
