The New York Mets have had a busy offseason.

One of their biggest moves is certainly the signing of Bo Bichette, along with the lineup implications: He’s going to have to play third base.
There are new guys everywhere, with Marcus Semien, and Jorge Polanco, and Luis Robert Jr., too.
Pete Alonso and Brandon Nimmo are both gone, as well.
It’s worth taking a look at how it all might shake out come Opening Day.

Mets projected lineup for 2026
This is a possibility, with help from the Fangraphs tool Roster Resource. This is what they suggest against a right-handed pitcher:

Against left-handed pitching, the Mets could DH either Mark Vientos or Ronny Mauricio in place of the lefty-swinging Baty. They could also put Tyrone Taylor into the outfield for the lefty-batting Benge.
It’s unlikely that the newly acquired Jett Williams would make the MLB roster, but he’ll be knocking on the door by the second half as a potentially shortstop-converted-to-outfield choice.
Vidal Brujan could also provide infield depth on the bench after being acquired in a trade for cash from the Minnesota Twins.
Alvarez’s catching job is secure, with Luis Torrens as his backup.

It’s certainly a promising group.
