The Toronto Blue Jays featured one of the league’s deepest teams heading into the 2026 MLB season.

While the lineup is headlined by first basemanVladimir Guerrero Jr. and designated hitter George Springer, the starting rotation may be one of Toronto’s greatest strengths.

The front office bolstered the group this offseason by adding right-hander Dylan Cease to the top, re-signing Shane Bieber and bringing in Cody Ponce.

Even with those additions, one of the most intriguing arms remains right hander Tre Yesavage, who made his debut last year and was electric. The 22-year-old made three regular season starts, collecting 16 strikeouts in 14 innings of work.

Yesavage then played a crucial role in the Blue Jays’ run to the World Series, making six postseason appearances and earning three wins while posting a 3.58 ERA with 39 strikeouts in just 27 2/3 innings.

With Yesavage continuing to make a name for himself at the big-league level, his youth only adds to the excitement surrounding his long-term ceiling.

On Friday, the Blue Jays took to social media to highlight the organization’s top three prospects according to MLB Pipeline and Baseball America.

Headlining the list was Yesavage, who the club noted had been ranked No. 12 by MLB Pipeline and No. 10 by Baseball America. “⭐️ The Stars of Tomorrow ⭐️ Trey, Arjun, and JoJo are ALL Top 100 Prospects!” the post read on X.

MLB Pipeline and Baseball America are two of the most respected prospect evaluation outlets in the sport, known for their detailed scouting reports, industry insight and long-term player development projections.

Being ranked this highly by both organizations reflects not only Yesavage’s present ability but also the confidence evaluators have in his long-term ceiling.

Because he debuted so late in 2025, he retains his rookie status for the 2026 season, positioning him as an early frontrunner for the American League Rookie of the Year Award.

His rapid ascent only adds to the excitement. Toronto selected Yesavage in the first round of the 2024 MLB Draft, and he began last season in Single-A before rocketing through the system and reaching the majors in a matter of months.

Few pitchers rise that quickly, and even fewer dominate at every stop the way he did. With his talent, poise and trajectory, Yesavage’s future in Toronto looks exceptionally bright.
