Toronto Blue Jays center fielder Daulton Varsho became a star during Toronto’s incredible postseason run in 2025. As the Blue Jays won the American League pennant for the first time in over three decades, Varsho became a sensation among fans of the franchise. In 18 playoff games, Varsho hit just .227, but he launched three home runs, had eight extra base hits, 12 runs scored and 10 RBIs.
This came after an injury-riddled regular season in which the 29-year-old outfielder played just 71 games, batting .238 with an .833 OPS, 20 long balls and 55 RBIs.

Last season was Varsho’s third in a Blue Jays uniform. He was originally selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the second round of the 2017 MLB Draft and spent his first three major league seasons with Arizona.

In December 2022, Varsho was traded to the Blue Jays from the Diamondbacks in exchange for catcher Gabriel Moreno and outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. At the end of last season, Varsho’s contract with Toronto expired, but the two sides avoided arbitration with a one-year, $10.75 million contract for 2026.
