In exchange, Milwaukee received a pair of Mets prospects in shortstop Jett Williams and righty Brandon Sproat, their Nos. 3 and 5 prospects, respectively. They’ll now turn the page to a starting rotation in Spring Training that won’t include Peralta for the first time in eight seasons since he began his MLB career. Manager Pat Murphy will now lean on veteran righty Brandon Woodruff to anchor the rotation, but Sammy Peralta, ironically, is another potential option to watch grow.
