Brandon Drury is plotting a return to the majors with the Kansas City Royals.

The team announced the signing of the veteran infielder-outfielder to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training on Wednesday.

Drury, 33, did not play in the majors in 2025. He appeared in a combined 46 Triple-A games for the affiliates of the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Angels. Drury last appeared in the big leagues with the Halos in 2024. He appeared in 97 games, batting .169 with 55 hits, four home runs, 15 runs batted in and a .469 OPS.

The 13th overall pick of the 2010 MLB Amateur Draft, Drury made his major league debut in 2015 as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks. He’s appeared in 867 games over 10 seasons with the D-Backs, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres and Angels.

For his career, the Grants Pass, OR native is a .245 hitter with 713 hits, 109 home runs, 375 runs batted in and an OPS of .717.
