Last off-season, Rutgers Athletics switched from being an Adidas school to being a Nike school. With that change came new uniform designs for the university’s different athletics teams. Rutgers baseball dropped its new uniform designs two days ago.
Not much is new with the Scarlet uniforms, as it still spells Rutgers across the chest in block lettering, something that the team has worn in years past. The blackout uniforms feature a red R on the front, along with the numbers displayed in red on the front as well, which is a little different than the previous uniforms, which had the sideways Knight logo on them in place of the block R.
However, the one that stands out the most is the white uniforms with the Rutgers script on the front. The Knights have worn uniforms with “Rutgers” written in script before, but not in this style. This uniform has a lot in common with the old basketball away uniforms that were white and had “Knights” written across the front in script.
Due to not having an apparel partner last season, Rutgers baseball switched between Adidas and Evo Shield uniforms. This season, they will only wear Nike-branded uniforms.
The first game of the 2026 Rutgers baseball season is set for February 13th at 4 pm against the College of Charleston in South Carolina. The Knights will spend the first month of their season on the road before coming home to play Georgetown on March 3rd.
