Pitchers and catchers are set to report to spring training next Wednesday, February 11 before the first full team workout the following Monday, February 16 as new Washington Nationals manager Blake Butera puts the finishing touches on his minor league roster ahead of the official start of spring training.

With games set to officially begin two weeks from today, Washington will open spring training with a pair of games on February 21 against the Houston Astros and St. Louis Cardinals, both at 1:05 PM, but the bigger question is how will fans be able to watch the new-look squad this spring following the decision to split with MASN.

While fans will not be able to watch the opener against the Cardinals, the Astros game is set to broadcast on both Nats.com and Nationals.TV, one of three games on both platforms this spring. March 5 against the Mets and March 17 against the Cardinals will also be broadcast on both platforms, while the spring training finale against the Baltimore Orioles will stream on 106.7 The Fan song with Nationals.TV.

The Feb. 25 matchup against the New York Yankees will stream on Nationals.TV, along with the March 4 matchup against Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic.

But the broadcast is limited to exactly that with six games exclusively on 106.7 The Fan, three games on Team 980 AM and the March 2 game against the Astros exclusively on 1580 AM.

It’s a disappointment for the Nationals given the new network, though this does not account for opposing team’s broadcasts throughout spring training.

Washington previously announced its new broadcast team for the 2026 season with Alexa Datt, Kevin Frandsen and Dan Kolko set to take over as the play-by play announcer, analyst and sideline host/reporter. Of course, the news came after the Nationals announced plans to officially part ways with MASN as they are set to join MLB’s TV umbrella for the inaugural season of Nationals.TV beginning in 2026.
