Diamondbacks renew partnership with 12 News to broadcast 11 over-the-air games in 2026 season – The Arizona Diamondbacks and 12 News KPNX, TEGNA’s NBC affiliate in Phoenix, today announced a renewed local broadcast distribution agreement that will bring 10 Diamondbacks games over-the-air to fans during the 2026 season. In addition, 12 News will air the season opener as part of the Major League Baseball on NBC national broadcast agreement, bringing the total number of over-the-air games on 12 News to 11 this season.

[Arizona Sports] Blaze Alexander trade swings door open for Jordan Lawlar – Lawlar has played only three professional games in the outfield, however, each with Tigres Del Licey in the Dominican Winter League. “I enjoyed the switch-up,” Lawlar told Arizona Sports in December. “It’s something I played in high school a little bit, and then when I was younger … I never professionally played there, so I love new challenges.” He has the speed and athleticism to go get the ball. Along the infield, he went through some lowlights last year, and the D-backs took his glove away over the final few weeks.

[Heavy] Diamondbacks Trade Opens Door for Highly-Regarded Youngster – With Ketel Marte at second base, Geraldo Perdomo at shortstop and Nolan Arenado at third base, Lawlar is blocked at every infield position. This necessitates his move to the outfield, where he has played just three professional games. With so much time and resources invested in the former top prospect, Arizona must give Lawlar more than a cup of coffee in the majors and give him more time to develop. If he wins the starting job at left field, Lawlar will be one step closer to proving his worth at the major league level.

[MLB.com] These potential World Series matchups aren’t as unlikely as they seem – Rangers vs. D-backs. The D-backs’ lineup is just as dangerous as it was last season — Ketel Marte, Corbin Carroll, and breakout star Geraldo Perdomo aren’t going anywhere, and they’ve added Nolan Arenado. Now, the pitching staff is still a big question mark. But Arizona can score its way to the postseason, and if the club can make a couple of pitching moves along the way — re-sign Gallen, to start — that would help a lot. So will getting Burnes back down the stretch.

[Awful Announcing] If you want MLB.tv this season, you’ll need to jump through ESPN’s hoops – With few exceptions, MLB.tv subscribers will also need to be ESPN Unlimited subscribers to purchase the package. In other words, MLB.tv is now behind a double paywall. You’ll need to purchase MLB.tv, which is priced at $150 per season for new subscribers and $135 for returning subscribers, in addition to the ESPN Unlimited plan, which is $30 per month. Now, there are some caveats. MLB.tv offers a free month of ESPN Unlimited upon signup. MLB.tv subscribers can cancel the ESPN Unlimited subscription during their free trial and still retain access to MLB.tv throughout the entire season.

Bigelow is clearly much more interested in the journey than the destination. To the point that we go through said journey, three separate times, from overlapping perspectives. Personally, it feels like the law of diminishing returns inevitably applied. Not disastrously so. But from a first pass which was utterly gripping, by the time we were going through a third iteration, my reaction to it was closer to moderate interest. “It” in this case being the launch of a nuclear missile from the Pacific Ocean. Its national origin is unknown, the motive is unknown, and attempts to take it down prove ineffective. The government has less than twenty minutes to formulate a response, before… Well, let’s just say, the next Chicago Cubs championship drought will last a lot longer than the previous one.
