Clase, Ortiz Not Allowed At Spring Training

Two suspended pitchers are not allowed to report to spring training.

Major League Baseball informed Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz remain on leave and cannot report to spring training.

Both players were placed on leave in late July after being implicated in a sports betting scheme.

Guardians pitchers and catchers will have their first workout on Thursday, with full-squad workouts scheduled to begin next Tuesday.
