The Tampa Bay Rays have announced the promotional schedule for the 2026 season, and will celebrate former legendary Rays third baseman Evan Longoria.

The Rays will host “Longo’s Legacy Weekend,” including his induction into the Rays Hall of Fame on Saturday, July 11 and retiring his No. 3 Jersey on Sunday, July 12. He’ll join previous Rays greats Wade Boggs, who was inducted in 2023; Carl Crawford, also inducted in 2023; and Fred McGriff, who was inducted in 2024, in the Rays Hall of Fame. Rays Radio broadcaster Dave Wills was inducted in 2024, and in 2023, former Rays player and team manager and senior adviser Don Zimmer was inducted in 2023. Wills and Zimmer were inducted posthumously.

Longoria played for the Rays from 2008 until 2017, including helping the team to its first four postseason appearances in its franchise history. Longoria was a key part of the 2008 team, which had a World Series run when Longoria was a rookie. In 2011, Longoria crushed a legendary walk-off home run in “Game 162” against the New York Yankees, helping the team secure the American League Wild Card that year.

Longoria was a three-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove winner. He was also named the American League Rookie of the Year in 2008 and was the 2009 American League Silver Slugger recipient at third base, becoming the second player in team history to earn a Silver Slugger.

While Longoria went on to play with the San Francisco Giants from 2018 until 2022 and then the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2023, he returned to St. Petersburg in 2025 to sign a ceremonial one-day contract to retire from Major League Baseball as a Tampa Bay Ray.

In addition to honoring Longoria, the Rays have unveiled the 2026 promotional schedule and announced the swag for the first 10,000 fans at home games.

The first promotional item will be a schedule magnet presented by Orlando Health at the Home Opener at Tropicana Field on April 6 against the Chicago Cubs, after the Rays played their 2025 season at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa while the Trop was being repaired following significant damage from Hurricane Milton in late 2024.

Orlando Health presents the entire Rays 2026 season.

Other notable giveaways include a Junior Caminero City Connect Bobblehead (May 30 vs. Los Angeles Angels), a Jersey Jacket presented by Spectrum (June 20 vs. Washington Nationals), and a Devil Rays Retro Snapback hat presented by Dream Finders Homes (July 25 vs. Cleveland Guardians).

Giveaways will also honor the Rays’ return to their longtime home in the domed Tropicana Field, including a Tropicana Field Tour Tee presented by Morgan Automotive Group (April 25 vs. Minnesota Twins) and a Tropicana Field Light-Up Replica presented by Tropicana (May 2 vs. San Francisco Giants).

Giveaways are also planned for Longoria’s weekend, including an Evan Longoria Snapback hat presented by Union Home Mortgage (July 11 vs. Seattle Mariners), and an Evan Longoria Bobblecard presented by DEX Imaging (July 12 vs. Seattle Mariners).

The Rays will wear Devil Rays uniforms on Fridays throughout the season. Players will wear Nike City Connect uniforms on Saturdays except July 11, when the Rays will wear home white uniforms in honor of Longo’s Legacy Weekend.
