Baseball fans — including Yankees and Mets supporters living outside the New York area — gained a new way to watch games starting Feb. 10 as ESPN and MLB announced an agreement to offer MLB.TV subscriptions through the network’s digital platforms.

The partnership allows subscribers to purchase and stream MLB.TV through the ESPN App and ESPN.com, providing access to thousands of out-of-market regular-season games.

For fans living outside the tri-state area, this means being able to watch Yankees and Mets matchups that are not televised in their current local region.

Crucially, local blackout rules remain unchanged. If you are physically located within the New York market, you cannot use MLB.TV to watch Yankees or Mets games live, regardless of whether the team is playing at home or on the road. Those games remain exclusive to the YES Network (via Gotham Sports) and SNY.

“ESPN and MLB have a partnership rooted in decades of delivering marquee baseball moments,” said Rosalyn Durant, executive vice president of ESPN Programming & Acquisitions. “With MLB.TV now available through ESPN, we’re… deepening the value proposition of the ESPN Unlimited plan.”

2026 Pricing & Features:

ESPN Unlimited Subscribers: Can add the full MLB.TV season for $134.99.Non-Subscribers: Can purchase MLB.TV for $149.99 (includes one free month of ESPN Unlimited).Monthly Option: $29.99 per month.

Subscribers receive access to out-of-market games, MLB Big Inning, and MLB Network.
