Brayan Rocchio had the only multi-hit game for Columbus, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base. Petey Halpin also doubled and walked while Kyle Datres went 1-for-2 with a hit by pitch and a walk and Yordys Valdes singled and walked.
Starting pitcher Ryan Webb allowed five runs on seven hits with three walks and three strikeouts in 4.2 innings. Tanner Burns and Andrew Misiaszek gave up an additional four runs over the game’s final 4.1 frames.

Akron was shut out on just one hit in game one of the doubleheader. The lone hit was a double by Cooper Ingle. Kahlil Watson also walked twice and stole a base.
Starting pitcher Trenton Denholm was tremendous, tossing 5.0 shutout innings with seven strikeouts, one walk and three hits allowed. Shawn Rapp took the tough-luck loss by allowing one run over the final two innings.
The top of the order carried the lineup in game two, led by Jorge Burgos, who went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Cooper Ingle also went 2-for-3 while Jake Fox went 1-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base.
Starting pitcher Ross Carver gave up one run on three hits in 2.1 innings with three walks and two strikeouts. Magnus Ellerts earned the win with 0.2 scoreless innings of relief.

Ralphy Velazquez is back in the Lake County lineup and he made an immediate impact, going 2-for-3 with a walk. Jacob Cozart had a great day, being perfect at the plate by going 2-for-2 with a double and two walks. Juan Benjamin went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk and Wuilfredo Antunez homered.
Starting pitcher Cam Favors allowed two runs on 3.1 innings on one hit with four walks and two strikeouts. All three relievers allowed at least one run the rest of the way.

Another day, another tremendous start from Melkis Hernandez. The talented 20-year-old Dominican tossed 6.0 shutout innings with seven strikeouts, one walk and just two hits allowed. He lowered his season ERA to 2.11. Keep an eye on this young man!
Offensively, Welbyn Francisca went 2-for-5 with a double and a stolen base while Bennett Thompson also went 2-for-5 with a double.
Ryan Cecarini walked twice and stole a base while Tommy Hawke doubled and walked. Jeffrey Mercedes went 1-for-3 with two walks and a stolen base, Jose Pirela went 1-for-3 with two walks, Garrett Howe went 1-for-3 with a walk and Robert Lopez walked twice.
