HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KETK) — The Texas Rangers are investigating the death of an inmate from Henderson County Jail, who died due to unknown causes in January.

According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, 42-year-old Karl Dora was admitted to the county jail on Aug. 1, 2025. He was found unresponsive in his jail cell by inmates on Jan. 25 and was taken to a local hospital.
After spending five days at the hospital, Dora was pronounced dead on Jan. 30, and the cause of death remains unknown. Dora’s death is currently being investigated by the Texas Rangers.
