Shippensburg University alumnus Gabe Mosser ’18 recently inked a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners. The deal includes an invitation to big league camp for spring training.

Mosser is entering his eighth season of professional baseball. Last year, the right hander made 25 starts between Double-A and Triple-A for the Philadelphia Phillies. He posted a 6-9 record and fanned a total of 127 batters in 124.1 innings.

Mosser spent six seasons in the San Diego Padres organization, reaching Triple-A for the club that drafted him in 2018. He also spent time in the Arizona Fall League, a league run by Major League Baseball to provide further development for top prospects, in 2024.

Mosser won a pair of all-conference and all-region awards during his time as a Raider. He registered a 16-9 record and a 2.94 ERA in his final two seasons at Fairchild Field – striking out 179 batters in 153 innings while yielding just five home runs against. He totaled 262 strikeouts over 238 collegiate innings.
