Athletics outfielder/designated hitter Brent Rooker is very active on social media, often conversing with fans who give praise or talk smack.
Rooker likes to use his X account to debunk rumors about MLB players’ lifestyles and the grind of playing a 162-game schedule. Before spring training games kick off, the two-time All-Star and Silver Slugger wanted to make two things clear.
A few reminders for everyone as guys start reporting to camp:
1. No one in the locker room cares at all if you show up with your stuff in your old team’s bag.
2. It is pretty much physically impossible to gain “15-20 lbs of muscle” in 4 months of offseason training.

In Rooker’s post, he seems to address New York Mets reliever Luke Weaver, arriving at camp with an old New York Yankees bag and an edited photo of Boston Red Sox outfielder Roman Anthony looking jacked.
Rooker is a good sport (and trash-talker)
Despite hitting 30 or more home runs in three consecutive seasons, some fans who enjoy betting on player props are never satisfied with individual performances, including Rooker’s.
However, the 31-year-old wants you to know he couldn’t care less about helping someone win their parlay.

Don’t expect Rooker’s opinion on the subject to change anytime soon.
