CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The Cleveland Guardians announced Friday the opening of the first Guardians Training Center in late Spring 2026.
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C), EL1 Sports, the Proud Youth Baseball and Softball Training Partner of Major League Baseball and the Guardians announced in a release that the facility will be opening on Tri-C’s Western campus in Parma.
According to a release from the Guardians, the year-round facility will establish a new approach to baseball and softball, and expand access to baseball, softball and sports-industry careers across Northeast Ohio.
The collaboration will provide athletic training along with classroom to career pathways and community-focused programming to benefit athletes and students of all ages.
The new facility will include technology and instructors to serve athletes of all ages, skill levels and backgrounds, the release said.
It is scheduled to be operated year-round beginning in Spring 2026, with programming in team trainings, clinics and specialized lessons.
Additionally, the Guardians Training Center will leverage advanced technology and insights from Cleveland Guardians players, coaches and scouts to inform training methods and player development, the release said.
