Nathaniel Lowe will look to continue his MLB career in the National League.

The Cincinnati Reds signed the veteran to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training, MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand reported Friday.

Lowe played 153 games in 2025, 34 of them with the Red Sox. Boston signed the 30-year-old after he was designated for assignment by the Washington Nationals in August.

In those 34 games, Lowe slashed .280/.370/.420 with two home runs and 16 RBI.

The Red Sox non-tendered Lowe in November, ending his time with the Red Sox.

Lowe started all three of the Red Sox’ postseason games at first base against the New York Yankees and became a fan favorite during his brief stint with the team.
