The St. Louis Cardinals are in uncharted territory in their organization’s history.
The Cardinals, which have been consistently competitive for the better part of a generation. In the last calendar year, they’ve committed to a top-to-bottom rebuild that has seen them trading notable veterans such as: second baseman Brendan Donovan, third baseman Nolan Arenado, first baseman/catcher Willson Contreras, starting pitcher Sonny Gray and closer Ryan Helsley.

Despite the expectation that St. Louis won’t be contenders or as competitive as it has been in its recent history, there are still several notable prospects and players that will draw some attention in spring training.
One of those players is Cardinals first-round draft pick and top 10 prospect JJ Wetherholt. There will also likely be eyes on top 100 switch-pitching prospect Jurrangelo Cijntje, who the team acquired in the deal that sent Donovan to the Seattle Mariners.
For fans looking to get a look at those two players and more, the broadcast schedule for St. Louis’ spring training games was recently released.
