Former Toronto Blue Jays infielder Santiago Espinal is joining the Los Angeles Dodgers on a minor-league deal, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.
Ardaya adds Espinal will attend Dodgers’ big-league camp.

The 31-year-old is coming off a difficult 2025 with the Cincinnati Reds where he slashed .243/.292/.282 with zero home runs and 16 RBI in 114 games played.
Espinal spent four seasons with the Blue Jays from 2020 to 2023, making the All-Star Team in 2022. He then spent the next two seasons in Cincinnati.
The Blue Jays dealt him to the Reds toward the tail end of spring training in 2024 in exchange for minor-league pitcher Chris McElvain.
Espinal is a career .261 hitter in 578 regular season MLB games.
