ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The Georgia Bulldogs were one of 13 SEC teams selected for the 2025 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, and the Dawgs will host postseason baseball at Foley Field.
The Dawgs will host one of 16 regionals to begin the tournament. Each regional consists of four teams in a double-elimination bracket.
Georgia will host Duke, Oklahoma State and Binghamton. As the No. 7 national seed, Georgia would be in line to host the best-of-three super regional as well if they win the regional.
Should Georgia advance to the super regional, the Dawgs could face ACC regular season champion Georgia Tech.
Georgia went 42-14 in the regular season, finishing fifth in the SEC with an 18-12 in-conference record.
The SEC set two records in the baseball tournament; the SEC will send a record 13 teams to the tournament, and a record eight schools will host regionals.
Georgia begins regionals with a game against Binghampton at noon on May 30. The regional will run through June 2.
